		<description>You're right Bruce, IsBlank IS another useful function for this type of data testing. 

Strictly speaking though, Monarch categorizes IsBlank as a "string" function (along with IsAlpha and a couple of other "Is" functions), and as such I didn't include it, but will discuss those soon too.

Things really get interesting with those functions, so as they say... "Stay tuned!"</description>

There is one more IS function in Monarch IsBlank. It is very similar to the IsEmpty and just works on strings(Character).

The IsBlank will allow you to trap on strings with blanks (spaces) in them. The IsEmpty will look for blanks and nulls.</description>
