Today I discovered that you can download a free copy of Monarch, albeit a limited evaluation of an older version of the program. Specifically, it’s the Standard edition of version 5. Coincidentally, this is the version that I first used.
If you don’t already have Monarch, this is a great opportunity to try it out for yourself. While you can use every feature of the software, the limitation is that it will only read the first 30Kb of your report files.
Also included is the Monarch Learning Guide as a PDF file. Even if you don’t really want to try limited software, this file alone makes downloading the setup file worthwhile, because it explains very clearly and simply how to get started with Monarch.
